The next step is to prepare an introduction to your research report. The introduction will include some of the same information you've already prepared when you selected your report topic, but expanded to briefly summarize your research approach. Requirements: Why do you feel that this disease you selected poses a great threat to the health and well-being of the United States? Provide examples. List at least two research sources you've identified that you think have information relevant to the disease you're researching. Include URLs to specific articles or Web pages. Generate a strong thesis statement for your report. Your thesis statement should outline the path that your project will follow. Your paper should: be at least 1 page in length. be free of spelling and grammar errors. Resources: Writing Guide What is a thesis statement? In your interpretation, answer the following questions: Which County data would you consider the most reliable? Why? What about the least reliable data, and why? Which County needs the most preventative intervention as it pertains to cancer incidence rates? Why? What additional information or additional data do you think you would need to best compare these three counties in terms of cancer incidence, if any? “In 2-3 paragraphs, summarize the historical approach to prevention and control of the
disease.”
The historical approach to prevention and control of Ebola was as follows. To begin with,
little information was known about the Ebola virus. Therefore, past outbreaks were impeded
while still in rural areas where the outbreaks usually started. During this time, the population
density was quite low with stronger community ties, while measures to prevent Ebola
transmission were much easier (Aurelie et al., 2018). This was based on a three-tier strategy of
prevention and control. First, the Ebola patients were quickly identified in the rural areas and
then isolated with protective gear issued to the health workers to prevent disease transmission.
Next, the contacts linked to the patient were closely observed, with their temperature
taken two times a day for approximately twenty-one days. Those with high fevers were then
quarantined until a diagnosis could be made, and those found with Ebola were hospitalized.
Thirdly, in the Ebola-prone areas, the communities were offered education on the virus to create
