What do you like / dislike about his belief?

Daniel Dennett tries to argue in these selections from Breaking the Spell that we ought to devote considerable academic resources to the scientific study of religion.

I like this beleif because Daniel attempts to understand all forms of society; via through religions, documents, and behavior accustoms.

is there anything you dislike about his book ? :O

Well, his tone of voice towards religion was extremely skeptical. It's not like he even gave it a chance, he was more out to proove it as a satire in my opinion.

The above post, was regarding the content in his book.

Yeah haha I agree with that one too, and would you believe that science can actually study religion?

Apr 8th, 2015

I believe you can understand the behavior of individuals based on the religion they practice; however, the main problems remain on general schemas and diverse backgrounds eliminate the concrete understanding of direct correlations. Let me think some more, LOL. Been awhile since I thought of that

In addition, I think the book did not even accomplish the task that he set out to do. The title was about as close as he became.

That would be the main thing, just point out chapters and that he really just attempted to theorize. I mean, the rest is really your opinion. I don't want to tell you what to think LOL

I mean at this point honestly I would use anyones opinion because I hardly understand the whole thing sadly. haha but I basically have to write 2 things I like and 2 things I don't like about the book but only the first 3 chapters.

alright, I would also suggest that some of his sources were sketchy to say the least.

Like which point did you find sketchy? or did you not like? :O
