Find the x-intercept of the line whose equation is 8x + 2y = 4.

Oct 22nd, 2017

Slope intercept form of line can be used,

y = mx + c

where m = slope, c = y intercept

here,

8x + 2y = 4

2y = 4 - 8x

y = (4 - 8x) /2

y = 2 - 4x

y = -4x + 2

Compare this with the standard equation.

Clearly, slope of this line will be ( -4 )................Answer
