Explanation & Answer
I'm not sure what the (5,7) is for but the equation needs to be in y=mx+b form So rearrange the equation so that y is by itself on the other side. So y=-x/2+7 is the equation. If I was unclear a bit let me know, I can help better if you can rewrite the question so I know that that 5,7 can mean something thank you

Finding standard deviation
7. A recent survey of Fortune 500 firms found that on average, they contribute
$332.54 per month for each salaried employee’s health insurance. If you are told
that almost all salaried employees at Fortune 500 firms receive a health insurance
contribution between $220.61 and $444.47, what must the standard deviation for
this data be? Assume that the distribution is approximately mound-shaped.
A) $37.31
B) $46.65
C) $55.98
D) $74.64

Walden University Wk 3 Standard Deviation Units Exercises
Submit your responses to the following prompts.A market-research firm was hired to determine the percentage of people in a market area who would purchase a client’s magazine if a door-to-door sales campaign were undertaken. The firm stated that 40% would buy if contacted at home. Suppose the marketing company has tried the sales campaign at 300 randomly selected homes. (150–225 words, or 2–3 paragraphs)Assuming the market research was done properly and the 40% is representative, how many sales are expected if the publisher attempts to sell to 5,000 homes? If the market research was accurate, what is the probability that fewer than 100 individuals will buy? Use the normal approximation to the binomial.Suppose that the publisher actually sells the magazine to 70 people out of the 300 contacted. What would you conclude about the market research? About the campaign?A steel mill produces alloy sheets used for the bodies of automobiles. The mill produces sheets with an average thickness of 0.517 inches and a standard deviation of 0.037 inches. A new car model requires alloy sheets between 0.495 and 0.525 inches thick. What percentage of the sheets made by the mill will be suitable for the new car model? Explain your answer. (75 words, or 1 paragraph)The VP of HR for a large company is interested in the distribution of sick-leave hours for employees at the company. A recent study revealed that the distribution was consistent with a normal model, with a mean of 58 hours per year, and a standard deviation of 14 hours. An office manager of one division believes that during the past year, two of the division’s employees have taken excessive sick leave. One took 74 hours and the other used 90 hours. What would you conclude about the division manager’s claim, and why? (75 words, or 1 paragraph)Each month, an American household generates an average of 28 pounds of newspaper for garbage and/or recycling. Assume this is approximately normally distributed and that the standard deviation is 2 pounds. If a household is selected at random, find the probability of it generating between 27–31 pounds per month. (75 words, or 1 paragraph)Note: For each prompt, be sure to reference at least one scholarly source to support your answer. Unit 14- Written Assignment 11: Factor Analysis
InstructionsLoad the data file unit 14_SPSSHW11_data.sav. A psychologist was interested in whether a mindfulness questionnaire measures a single underlying construct, or whether there is more than one underlying construct. The questionnaire contained 15 items each requiring a response in the range 1 to 6. The responses of 95 participants to the 15 items are coded in the variables s1q1 to s1q15. In order to answer the question above, carry out a principal component analysis with direct oblimin rotation and do the following:1. Describe the factor structure of the questionnaire.a. How many components have eigenvalue greater than one? (2 points)b. How much variance is accounted for? (2 points)c. Consider the scree plot: how many components does that suggest? (2 points)d. Write a brief results section, including a suitable table, to report which items load on each component. (2 points)e. Label the resulting factors based on the items you identified as loading onto them. (2 points)2. Alter the analysis to force a single-factor solution and report the results. Which questions should you throw out? Which questions is loaded the strongest? (5 points)3. Save and submit the SPSS syntax and output files used to complete items 1-2. The file names should begin with your first and last name followed by the homework number (e.g., John Doe HW11.sps; John Doe HW11.spv). (5 points [you read that correctly]

PSYCH 655 University of Phoenix Week 3 Psychological Test Construction Discussion Question
Hello, In week’s one and two, we looked at the history of psychological assessment and factors that contribute to a testing being a good test (i.e., reliability, validity, ethics, etc.). In week 3, we explore what makes a test useful and use that to determine methods for test construction. Respond to the following questions in a substantive way integrating information from your text or other scholarly sources (please include citations and references for your work):1. How would you go about making a judgment regarding the utility of a published test? What factors would you consider? What resources would you use? 2. What factors concerning test utility would you consider as you work through the process of test construction?3. What are factors that need to be considered early in test construction to insure that the process proceeds accurately and you end up with a useful test?4. Consider that you are constructing a test on test anxiety, what are some examples of items you would include in an assessment of an individual's level of test anxiety? How would you determine which items should be included in the assessment? How would you evaluate the appropriateness of your items and each item's performance in the assessment?
