When the following equation is balanced using the smallest possible integers, what is the number in front of the substance in bold type?

Pb(NO_{3})_{2} + K_{2}CO_{3} → PbCO_{3} + KNO_{3}

the number in front of KNO_{3} is 2 that is it becomes 2KNO_{3}

so ANSWER IS 2

it is because k should be balanced in equation,

left side there is 2K but on the left side there is only 1K in right .....if we put 2 infront in right side then

at both sides the value of k becomes 2.......so the equation gets balanced......

similarly for N there are 2 N in left side but only 1 N in right side ......so if we put 2 the equation becomes balanced....

for 0 there is 6 O at the left side and only 3 O at the right side.....so by putting 2....the right side O BECOMES 3*2=6.......

SO THE EQUATION IS BALANCED......................
