Process of Leading Change
Organizational change is a common practice today in the corporate world.
Fundamentally, technological advancement has dramatically triggered organizational change,
because organizations are adopting new technologies to improve their performance. Therefore,
organizational change is transitioning from one thing to another, objectively to improve
performance. The paper undoubtedly addresses organizational change at CHEO (Children’s
Hospital of Eastern Ontario). CHEO is a health organization in Ontario, Canada and like any
other health organization, it offers medical services. For quite a long time the organization has
been storing its medical records manually, but in 2013 it took a digital path (Gibbins, 2013). This
was a tremendous change, from manual storage of medical records to digital storage. Manual
storage of medical records involves filing and storing them on shelves. But, with the growing
demand that hospitals should electronically save medical records, for their patients, CHEO opted
to heed to the market. Besides, the Canadian government further urged health service providers
to adopt the use of EMRs and later the CHEO CEO, Alex Munter led the project team at CHEO
to effect the change (Paré, et, al 2014). Most importantly, since the shift CHEO has significantly
improved its medical record storage and service delivery at the facility is highly commendable.
At the onset of the change on November 20, 2017, the CEO, Alex Munter happily announced
that the establishment would facilitate the conversion of over 2 million lab records to the
electronic format (Gibbins, 2013). Also, with the adoption of EPIC (software program), the CEO
noted that it was the beginning of a new era at the facility, because delivering health records, was
going to be the fastest process at the organization since its inception. This innovative technology
at the center was a breakthrough that was celebrated not just by rank and file of the organization,
but also their external stakeholders.

Section 1.Vision Creation
For organizational change to happen, then it is mandatory that an organization develops a
change vision. Any organization that is seeking change must strive to create a vision centered on
change. The change vision makes employees, and also some key stakeholders think of what their
organization or business shall be, in the event the change is achieved (Benn,et al. 2014). That
implies that change vision should be inclusive in the sense that it must bring all the employees on
board. It is the happiness of every employee, to feel part of change vision and therefore creating
a vision statement that is powerful and inspiring, motivates the employees.
Nevertheless, the change vision seems not like corporate vision, but objectively they have
the same purpose, which is achieving success. The corporate vision, which in other words is the
vision statement, takes only three most straightforward steps to create (Benn et al. 2014). Firstly,
as a leader steering the organization towards success, one must define what exactly the company
intends to build. It is the role of leadership of a group, to set the direction to follow. When that
course is adequately defined, then every employee would be a...
