Why is it hard for people to reason statistically?

People tend to attach onto pathological and ethological arguments rather than logical arguments because those speak to them. Also statistics themselves can have bias and must be completely verified. People listen to anecdotes more than numbers that's just kind of how it is. Hope that answers your question
