I need to know what is a Prism, geometrical figure and the Volume formula

Apr 11th, 2015

In geometry, a prism is a three-dimensional object with an n-sided polygon base and a certain length or height.

So, a common prism is the triangular prism which is used to refract light into rainbow colors.

The base of the prism is the area of a triangle, and it's length or height will vary. The volume would be given by

1/2basexheight of triangle x length of prism.

In general, the formula for the volume of a prism is:

Area of base x Length(or height)
