finding the rate of change

Rate of change of anything is given my = ( Final Value - Inital Value ) / Initial Value

how can i find the rate of change to x=2 to x=4

Pllease put down the full question then I will be able to answer it in detail.

c) Find the average rate of change from x=2 to x=4

No this is not the complete question........the question whose C part is this..........Please understand you are asking only half question........There must be some graph or something which must be having a question

it first starts out with a graph which i don't understand

Solution:

So this is the complete question:

Rate of change of x and y is given by ( y2 - y1 ) / ( x2 - x1 )

Here, x1= 2 , x2 = 4

y1 = 6, y2 = 26

Hence the rate of change will be given by:

( 26 - 6 ) / ( 4 - 2 )

20 / 2
