we can write the probability that we do not get a 6 as p (not 6) find the probability and show how you came to the answer We played bingo in class and the probability distribution is  0-12 and then we have the fractions ( probabiliity) on the bottom . Help me please understand this

I think you're talking about numbers 0 through 12 on a bingo board, right?

Then each number has a 1/13 probability of being picked.

6 is just one of the 13 numbers, so it has a probability of 1/13

But we want NOT 6 which is P(not 6)

Not 6 all the other numbers, EXCEPT 6

So, P(not 6) = 12/13

Hope that helps.
