Hello, I'm wondering why we can't divide by zero. Who came up with this rule for the first time and how became it an overall rule?

Thank you

Consider following example

100 divide 10 equal to 10

100 / 10 = 10

100 = 10 * 10

like wise

8 divide by 2 equal to 4

8/2 = 4

8 = 2 * 4

8 divide 0 equal to undefined

8/0 = unknown

8 = 0 * any number you multiple it became 0

so 8 never equal to 0

Hope you get the answer.

Thanks
