Now let's pull out the GCF which is 3

3(6x^2 + 7x - 3)

Now let's factor what's inside the parenthesis

3(3x - 1)(2x + 3)

the discriminant b^2 - 4ac = 21^2 - 4(18)(-9) = 1089

sqrt(1089) = 33

Therefore the discriminant is a perfect square and the polynomial is NOT prime.
