Description
what is meant by the term public-private partnership? Do you have an example from your own community?
Explanation & Answer
Public- private partnership occurs when a private company joins hands with a government entity for a business venture. Usually each party comes up capital and shares the profit based on the equity each party has in this partnership. They share the profit according to previously agreed terms.
In our community of Long Beach, this type of partnership is considered. It involves building a LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) terminal near the port of Long Beach and shipping LNG overseas.
