I have an input of 0vdc and 2vdc into a controller. The accuracy must be at least 1% of the input. The 2 volt input is 1.98 to 2.02volts. How do I get the tolerance for a 0 volt input?

Anything times 0 is 0. That is part of the law of numbers.

Just like 0*1 = 0, when you take a percentage of a number, such as 5% of 10, you multiply 0.05 (which represents 5% in decimal format) * 10

0.05 * 10 = 0.5 (1/2).

If you try to take 1% of zero, you get zero since 0.01 * 0 = 0. This is part of the law of working with numbers.

Thank you for your time. I still need to tell the boss what I plan to put on this calibration sheet.
