Expiration: The volume of air out breath out with a normal breath
Inspiration: The volume of air you breath in with a normal breath
Expiratory reserve volume: The volume of air you can breath out after you breath out normally (after normal expiration)
Residual volume: The volume of air remaining in the lungs after maximum expiration (after you breathe out the expiratory reserve volume)
