I can't figure out how to get x

2^x = 4

To get x, we will make the bases on both sides equal, then

we can write 4 = 2^2

Now

2^x = 2^2

As the bases are same on both sides, then we can equalize the powers on both sides, we get

x = 2

Hence x = 2
