The location used in this paper is Malbork, Poland. There is only one disease that was
reported in the country in the last one month, Salmonella. It is the focus of this paper in the
subsequent sections. The other one has not been classified yet.
The article on the disease identifies the strand of Salmonella that causes Salmonella
enteritidis which was found in eggs from the country. The causes were lack of proper controls at
the rearing site, and the eggs had already been exported by the time the issue was detected,
affecting European countries such as France, and the United Kingdom (Whitworth).
The sources of information from the article are; Fermy Drobiu Wozniak (the poultry farm),
and the European Centre for Disease Control.

Organism that causes the disease: bacteria by the name Salmonella

Transmission: Via food animals, and their products such as through eggs, in this case.
Between humans, it can be transmitted via contact with fecal matter, or orally. Pets, and
wild animals could also transmit the disease if a human comes in contact with fluids, or
fecal matter from infected ones.

Symptoms: fever, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea.

depending on the severity of the case, and whether the bacterial strains are resistant, or
not.
