A budget and schedule go hand in hand for any organization that wishes to accomplish its goals
and objectives. They outline activities that will be executed at various stages of our project on
constructing a daycare center at our local town. Therefore, our analysis relies on a work
breakdown structure to create a budget and schedule for the activities. It will indicate timelines at
which each event or activity occurs and of course their related costs to the company.
The primary role of a budget is to represent the manner in which money will be spent on various
activities of a particular project. The budget shows the amount of money available to spend on a
project. However, depending on the structure of your organization, a budget could contain only
external costs of the project such as the contractor; materials, etc. or even include internal costs
such as administrative costs which are charged back to the sponsor of the project (Jrade &
Lessard, 2015). A schedule is tied to the budget because it outlines the time the activities happen
and how much they will cost. Well, to create a sufficient budget it is critical for one to break
down work of the project and examines activities that will be carried out at every point.
