These are called transferable skills, and are skills that you develop that can be transferred and applied within your chosen career. Transferable skills are highly valuable and essential for career success. Throughout this course, you have been working on a project that allowed you to demonstrate your understanding of the transferable skills. It is now time to submit your project/assignment and add a transferable skills reflection. To complete this assignment, you will need to do the following: Part I: Compiling Your Exemplar Project Compile all of your completed course project assignment deliverables. Place them in the proper order, and save them in a single Microsoft Word document. Part II: Transferable Skills Self Reflection In a minimum of 1 full page, using Microsoft Word, write an essay (full introduction and conclusion), which includes the following: Describe the knowledge, skills and/or attitudes regarding each of the transferable skills that you've gained as a result of completing this particular project/assignment. Discuss the ways that you are going to incorporate the transferable skills (the transferable skills that you showcased in your exemplary project) into your work within your chosen career field. Describe your future goals based on the transferable skills that you've chosen to showcase. Write your paper utilizing proper tone, spelling and grammar. Once you have completed your reflection assignment, add it to the end of the document you compiled in part I. The self-reflection should be the last few pages of your exemplar project. If done correctly, everything will be one document! Save the compiled document to a folder. Then, zip or compress the folder, and submit the zipped folder to the drop box. Note: For help with zipping or compressing your files, please visit the How Do I Zip Files? page. Submit your completed assignment to the drop box below. Please check the Course Calendar for specific due dates. Save your assignment as a zipped folder. (Mac users, please remember to append the ".zip" extension to the filename.) The name of the file should be your first initial and last name, followed by an underscore and the name of the assignment, and an underscore and the date. Transferable Skills Reflection
Transferable skills are acquired when students apply theories for classroom lectures into
practice when identifying and recommending solutions to public issues. While assignments and
projects are valuable tools for developing transferable skills, they are useful for developing
interests in new professional areas that enhance the student's potential to make meaningful
impacts. Therefore, the purpose of this self-reflection paper is to describe the knowledge and
skills that were gained from completing specific projects and assignments during this course,
measures for incorporating them into my chosen career discipline, and the relevance of the
transferable skills to my future aspirations.
The completion of the assignments for this course helped to improve my knowledge of
the impacts of public policies on health. Also, this knowledge helped me to develop policy
review skills and reinforce my interest in advocacy campaigns. In this regard, I acquired skills
that are transferable to my future professional endeavors in policymaking and community
development programs. Similarly, these assignments helped me to acquire advanced research
skills and written communication competencies that are useful for engaging in thoughtful
discussions and addressing community challenges with government programs. As a result, the
completion of some of the assignments for this course helped me to acquire knowledge and skills
for generating useful ideas from thought-provoking conversations to improve the well-being and
health of diverse communities.

community partners in any field. Therefore, I plan to incorporate the transferable skills from the
completion of these assignments into my public health practice, especially those related to
improving social and economic opportunities for vulnerable groups and disadvantaged
communities.
Meanwhile, the transferable skills are not just useful for my chosen career field but have
motivated me to create new future goals. First, my goal is to use my research and written
communication skills to increase my participation in policy review and policymaking in the
future. Second, the new goal is to use my stakeholder engagement skills to increase my level of
collaboration with community-based partners and support their efforts to achieve better program
outcomes for their target population. In essence, my goal is to use these transferable skills to
make meaningful impacts in our communities and organizations.
In conclusion, my reflection on the impacts of this course on my professional
development and growth showed it provide...
