Final Project (15%): SLO 1,2,3, 4. 150 points possible. The final project in this class will be an opportunity to reflect on how you have grown over the course of the condensed semester. The assignment requires you to build on your research to explore the implications and impact of Chicanx feminist theorizing, pedagogy, and praxis by curating a subscription style box. Area S Goal: Students will study the interrelationship of individuals, racial groups, and cultural groups to understand and appreciate issues of diversity, equality, and structured inequality in the U.S., its institutions, and its cultures.Learning Outcomes: describe how identities (i.e. religious, gender, ethnic, racial, class, sexual orientation, disability, and/or age) are shaped by cultural and societal influences within contexts of equality and inequality;describe historical, social, political, and economic processes producing diversity, equality, andstructured inequalities in the U.S.;describe social actions which have led to greater equality and social justice in the U.S. (i.e. religious, gender, ethnic, racial, class, sexual orientation, disability, and/or age).; andrecognize and appreciate constructive interactions between people from different cultural, racial, and ethnic groups within the U.S.General Goal: Find a box and fill it with 5 items (7 max for those of you who insist on more).Explain how each item and the box itself signify a course connection.Address what each item represents, symbolizes, or activates.Be explicit (show me and tell me) how you are being intentional about connecting back to course theme(s), readings and/or lectures. Remember to cite your sources where necessary.
