Solve the logarithmic equation for x.
2 log x = log 2 + log(3x − 4)
x = (smaller value)
x = (larger value)

2 log x = log 2 + log(3x − 4)

log(x^2) - log(3x − 4) = log 2

log(x^2 / (3x − 4)) = log 2

(x^2 /(3x − 4))=2

x^2=6x-8

x^2-6x+8=0

delta=36 - 32 = 4

X1 =(6-2)/2 =2  (smaller value)

X2=(6+2)/2 =4  (larger value)

Good Luck
