Explain how complex numbers combine algebraically and graphically (solely using the graph, meaning just graphing the result of the algebraic computation is not sufficient) under the following operations:

a. Addition

b. Division

complex number is written as x+iy

lets consider 2 complex numbers x1+iy1 and x2+iy2

simply adding (x,y) coordinates gives new complex number

ie (x1+x2)+i(y1+y2)

now for graphing we will consider polar coordinates

consider 2 complex number

C1=r1e^i@1

C2=r2e^i@2

multiplying two gives a new complex number

r1r2e^i(@1+@2)

graphing is simple u have to plot numbers before addition and after addition.

for multiplying draw a line with angle (@1+@2) and radius r1*r2
