Introduction
Teams are usually credited for enhancing the efficiency of an organization or an
institution. This is because they tend to incorporate different skills among individuals to
accomplish a shared goal. Innovation is also enhanced by teamwork as different ideas are
incorporated within a team to form a single and effective idea (Schippers, West, & Dawson,
2015). However, there are situations where teams tend to hinder innovation and reduce the
efficiency of an organization or institution. This is when there lacks cooperation among the
members or general laziness which does not encourage inventiveness. Therefore, teams are not
always credited for innovation in corporations but failures since they could have numerous issues
which hinder innovation.
