TOMS FABRIC                                                              BRIANS FABRIC

Ordering Charge \$40                                                          \$4 Per pound

Write an equation for each  using C for total cost and P For price per graduation gown

1:Toms fabric :
2: Brians fabric :
3: What is the point of intersection?
4: What does this point represent in this situation?
Oct 22nd, 2017

let number of fabric be T

hence PT=C

solve for T

15T=40

T=2/2/3=2.667

there for Tom's fabric T=C/P   P graduation per gown

Brains fabric will be 2/2/3=C/F where F is graduation per pound

T=10/2/3/F       where  F=4

making C the subject

C=2/2/3 *4

=10/2/3

iii. point of intersection is T=2/2/3

iv. point of intersection indicates number of fabric is equal at certain cost and order per unit.
