Communication is process of conveying intended information from one group or entity to
another through use of mutually understood semiotic rules and sings. According to Itakura
(2009), communication can be verbal, non-verbal or written. Verbal communication is where
intended meaning is conveyed by word of mouth. Non-verbal communication is the exchange of
information from one group to another by use of gestures and signs. Written communication is
where information is exchanged from one point to another through use of writings such as notes,
book, magazine, newspapers among others. Communication becomes essential in work place
because it ensures information exchange thus contributing to flow of work. In essence, for
communication to be effective, it follows several stages. First, is formulating the reason or
motive of communication. This is where the party intending to communicate decides reasons for
