Newborn = 0.3grams (3/10 of a gram). 10% of 0.3 each day growth = (0.10 * 0.3 = 0.03 grams per day) n = number of days
a. 0.3 gram (starting) + 1 day (0.03) = 0.33 gram after day 1
0.33 gram (start day 2) + (0.10)(0.33) = 0.33 + 0.033 = 0.363 grams after 2nd day.

b. 6th week = 7 days * 6 weeks = 42 days
0.3 gram (starting) + (0.10)(42) = 0.3+ 4.2 = 4.5 grams.

If I worked it out right, after 6 weeks (42 days), the channel catfish should weigh 4.5 grams. Part a was the model for the catfish's weight. Let me do it be hand to make sure the 4.5 grams is correct.
