Introduction
Non-evidence treatment has been used in the treatment of the patients with mental illness.
The method has gained acceptance due to its influence on the treatment of the mental illness. The
method, when done by profession, will make the patient undergo a successful mental healing
process which a significant step in having a society free from the mental illness. (Berkes, 2008)
Also, the non-evidence based treatment when integrated with the current method can result in
great success for all the patients. It calls for extensive study and research work to ensure that all
adopt it.
Cognitive stimulation
Cognitive stimulation is a method that is adopted in the treatment of mental disorder. The
program is done in stages and conducted by profession in the field. The method has proved
beneficial for all the persons suffering from ailments such as dementia. The therapy increases the
health of the brain. Scientist view that it creates a brain reserve that the patient uses while the
other parts are in the healing process. (Orrell, 2005)
The therapy has been seen to have a significant impact on the old person where after
extensive training they can have a mental recovery. The method is seen to work best especially
for the person who due to age are unable to exercise. (Chung, 2012) However, the process may
