Executive Summary
At my place of work, our organization has become notably too economical and is working
towards eliminating the policy of increasing our salaries to finding other motivational
strategies. Among the currently adopted procedures include promising for further training
either through scholarships or inside job training. I find this method of motivational
unfavorable since not all of the workers are interested in further studies. Also, when an
employee joins a class for advanced studies, the institution is hardly proving enough stipend,
making the studies unbearable.
Teachers, just as other workers need motivation that is mostly based on their ability to
deliver quality knowledge to their students. I believe that this skill is dependent on several
factors that if not well satisfied, the teachers’’ motivation is highly affected. Teachers need to
be empowered by being granted a chance to hone their skills further, they deserve a social life
and need time to interact with themselves and create a working team. Also, teachers’, just as
other working humans, need to be motivated through rewards from their bosses, which could
be in the form of scholarships, increased salaries, and job promotion.
Crisis at My Workplace
I am a part-time tutor at one of the local community colleges, a work that I have been
doing for the last two years, as I pursue my education. I have found my work interesting for it
involves a continuous process learning and explorations into the world of education. Every
day that I get into a class, I find new dimensions of thoughts, especially after interacting my
