A sample of neon gas is collected over water. The volume of Ne gas and H2O vapor mixture is 60.0 mL at a temperature of 70°C and a barometric pressure of 761.0 mm(Hg). The vapor pressure of water at 70°C is 233.7 mm(Hg). Find the partial pressure of the neon gas in the vapor mixture, and the volume that the neon gas would occupy in the absence of water vapor

761.0 mmHg total - 233.7 mmHg H2O = 527.3 mmHg Ne 

(60.0 mL) x (527.3 mmHg Ne / 761.0 mmHg total) = 41.6 mL dry Ne
