Bill is playing soccer and kicks the ball from ground level with an initial speed of 20 m/s in a direction of 30 degrees above the horizon. g=10m/s^2. What is the range of the ball if t=1 sec

v = 20 m/s

Ѳ = 30 degrees

g = 10 m/s^2

t = 1 sec

Now as we know that

Range = (v^2 * sin2Ѳ) / g

            = ( (20)^2 * sin2(30) ) / 10

            = ( 400 * sin(60) ) / 10

            = 40 * sin60

            = 40 * 0.866

            = 34.64

 Or

Range = 35 meters                (approx)
