Let  x gallon regular gas and y gallon premium gas were sold

x+y = 240   -------------(1)

2.25x+3.05y = 612 -----------(2)

multiplying 1 with 2.25 we get

2.25x+2.25y =540 ------------(A)

Subtracting A from 2 we get

0.8y = 72   hence y = 90 gallon

therefore x = 150 gallon

Answer

Regular gas   :     150 gallon

Premium gas :     90 gallon
