Assignment 2: LASA 1—Informational InterviewIn M1 Assignment 3, you identified a professional in the field of psychology to interview. You selected an interviewee employed in a psychology-related job that interests you and developed a list of fifteen questions. You also prepared a meet-and-greet plan and a script to use at the beginning of the interview. For this assignment, you will conduct an interview with your chosen psychology professional using those fifteen questions. The interview must last a minimum of thirty minutes. As specified in Module 1, you must ask the interviewee about his or her work, academic preparation, and advice during the interview. Abstract
My analysis on clinical psychology is drawn from an interview I conducted to Dr.
William Frierson, of American Psychological Association. He is a licensed clinical
psychologist and a licensed Marriage Therapist. He has been in private practice for the last 25
years and is also employed by the social services. This report is focused on giving detailed
information on the profession's requirements, responsibilities, and skills necessary for this
career.

Factors influencing career choice in Clinical Psychology
William began by saying that professionals have varying reasons on why they chose
the career paths they are on now. "Clinical psychologists’ career is mostly influenced by reallife experiences or observations that ignite curiosity." He said. This curiosity creates a need
to learn more about the human psychology so as to understand the situations observed or the
experiences better. William disclosed that his experience as a young boy living with his
mother in a neighbourhood characterized by drug use and drug addiction created in him a
