In the equation y= yx if the value of x is increased by 2, what is the effect on the value of y

Apr 20th, 2015

2x + 6 = 3

2x = 3 - 6 = -3

x = -3/2 = -1.5

-2{x-3}  THIS IS MISSING EQUAL TO SOME NUMBER

1/3{2x-5} = 3

2x-5 = 3*3 = 9

2x = 9+5 = 14

x = 14/2 = 7

0.3(0.3x+0.8)<-0.3

0.3x+0.8 < -0.3/0.3 = -1

0.3x+0.8 < -1

0.3x < -1 -0.8 = -1.8

x < -1.8/0.3

x < - 6

-1/5x-4>-3

-1/5x >-3+4 = 1

-1/5x > 1

x < 1*-5

x < - 5

In the equation y= yx if the value of x is increased by 2, what is the effect on the value of y

This doesn't seem to be written correctly but it is meant to be an inverse relationship, then

if x is increased by 2,

y = y(x+2)

y = y/(x+2)

But again, the original equation was not written correctly
