Some fear it while others welcome it, but regardless of worry or wonder, change always involves reason and result (origin and outcome) or, to put it in writing terms, cause and effect (causation). How significant is this cause? ii. Could it have brought about the effect by itself? iii. Does it form part of a chain? iv. Precisely how does it contribute to the effect? b. If you're dealing with effects, substitute the following questions for the ones above: i. How important is this effect? ii. What evidence will establish its importance? c. Chart your results: i. To tabulate causes (remote & immediate), use an arrangement like this: Cause Contributions to Effect First cause Specific contribution Second cause Specific contribution Body: Effect ! ii.
