Assuming that the two species of squirrel are competing, what might you predict about the types of nesting materials selected by each over time?    Why might the outcome of competition between two species be different under different conditions?

Oct 19th, 2017

Even though both species will probably use the same material at first, over time, one of the species will eventually take ownership over this material, forcing the other one to look for something different.

Different condition might favor different species, affecting their chances of survival/dominion.  For example, if species A eats certain type of nut that species B does not, and this nut is not present where the competition is taking place, species B has a clear advantage.
