2. Choose a contemporary film you have recently viewed. Discuss how this film makes use of some of the classic editing techniques used by early filmmakers and mentioned in the lecture. (For purposes of this discussion, let's consider 'contemporary' films to be ones made in the last 10 years.)150 words
Instructor's Note: Please keep track of the point of the question - to think about CLASSIC editing techniques mentioned in the lecture, and to think about the ways they are still being used in recently produced films. Remember, the first unit basically deals with techniques up through the 1920's. That's about 70 years before CGI! Also remember that specific shots are not editing techniques. Editing is the way the shots are put together. So to say there are a variety of wide shots and close-ups doesn't tell much about the editing.
