Description
Activity: Ranking of the US
In this exercise, you will rank the United States on a topic that you find interesting. (See attached page for ideas and sources). It is difficult to look objectively at your own culture! You may be surprised at where the US may rank in an area like innovation, education, or technology. Examine the criteria used to rank each country. This will give you a point of global reference for the country you live in. If you are living in another country while taking this course, you may use that country in the ranking process. See the attached article and video by Fareed Zakaria on global rankings, entitled "Should America try to be like Scandinavia" on CNN's Global Public Square for further insight into this topic of global indexes.
Write a short summary (500 words, APA format) on what you have discovered about the United States and where it stands in a global context, using the variable you have chosen to explore.

Ranking U.S. in Terms of Health
Healthcare is every government's concern, and so is the United States (Woolf, & Aron,
2013). Much effort regarding resources and amendments of laws is put to try and improve the
quality of healthcare in the United States. Unfortunately, among the high-income nations U.S.
ranks the last in healthcare provision (Woolf, & Aron, 2013). Studies show that the United States
spends more on healthcare than all the other high-income countries yet the outcome has no
comparison (Woolf, & Aron, 2013).
