Dancing may lead to Idol worship such that society looks with contempt upon the employment
of a dancing-master. All think they know his social position and character.
As a class, dancing-masters are excluded from the intimacies of refined
society—are indolent, dissolute and bankrupt in fortune or morals. Possibly
this opinion does injustice to some exceptional cases.
It also reneges on the peaceful and calm nature of most church doctrines.
