Can every even number greater than 2 be written as the sum of two primes?
This problem is known as Goldbach's conjecture.
It states that: every even integer greater than 2 can be expressed as the sum of two primes.
It is one of the best-known unsolved math problems in number theory. Accordingly to Wikipedia it is shown that it is true for up to 4*10^18 but it still remains unproven.
