Eliana claims she has discovered a method for determining the general form equation of a line that is perpendicular to a given line. Eliana’s method is described below.

                  The line Ax + By + C = 0 will always be perpendicular to the line Bx - Ay + C = 0.

                        Is Eliana’s method reasonable? Explain why or why not

yes

 a line that is perpendicular to it, so  find the "negative reciprocal" of the other line's slope.

y=(-Ax/B)-C

slope is- A/B

= B/A

y=(Bx/A)-C

make it equal to 0

0= -Bx+Ay+c
