What is the mass in grams of 10.5 mole CH4? what is the % carbon?
16.04 g/mol * 10.5
12/16 x 100 = 75%
Thank you! Is there any way you can show me how you got to this?
1. given moles= 10.5 mole
from the periodic table, molar mass of CH4 is 16.04 g/mol
then, mass OF CH4 = 16.04 g/mol * 10.5=168.42grams
2. percentage carbon= 12/16*100
the mas of carbon= 12
the mass of CH4= 16
To get the percentage............12/16*100=75%
all the best
