y = 17.61 * 1.07^x

Derivative: 1.19 *1.07^x

2nd Derivative: .081*1.07^x

Fantastic! Can I ask how you got 1.19 from 17.61 and then .081 from 1.19?

1.07^x = e^(xln1.07) (by definition!). When we differentiate we get ln1.07 *e^(xln1.07) by the chain rule. ln(1.07) is a very small number, so that is what is shrinking our constant factor.
