a)  There are 12 face cards - 4 jacks, 4 queens, and 4 kings

That means there are 40 which are NOT face cards

So, the probability is 40/52 = 10/13

b)  probability of red is 1/2, probability of numbered is 36/52 or 9/13

So, total probability is 1/2 + 9/13 - (1/2)(9/13) = 31/26 - 9/26 = 22/26 = 11/13

c)  probability of red AND numbered is (1/2)(9/13) = 9/26
