Locke’s Political Philosophy
John Locke is one of the most prominent political scholars of the modern time. He was
among the leading philosophers in the 17th and 17th century. In the Two Treatises of
Government, Locke argues that human beings are by nature equal and free against assertions that
God had created all individually natural subjects to a ruler. He asserted that individuals have
rights, like the right to property, liberty, and life that have a basis independent of the rules of any
specific society. Typically, Locke utilized the assertion that men are naturally equal and free as
part of the validation for acknowledging authentic political government as the outcome of a
social contract where individuals in the position of nature provisionally shift some of their rights
