2a • b = a^{2} + b^{2 Explain why this is equation isnt correct. }

Here 2a x b means 2 multiplied by a and this product multiplied by b.

However, a^2 means a multiplied by a and not a Plus a. Similarly b^2 means b multiplied by b and not b+b.

Therefore 2 x a x b is not equal to a^2 + b^2.

For example take a = 3 and b =5

So 2x a x b becomes .2 x 3 x5 = 30. But a^2 +b^2 = 3^2 + 5^2 = 9 + 25 =33

And you see that 30 is not equal to 33.

So this equation 2a.b = a^2 +b^2 is not correct.
