I need to know how Rhenium was named I have an assignment that's due tomorrow! D:
Rhenium was the last stable element to be discovered, in 1925. It was named after the river Rhine in Europe. Rhenium comes from the Latin word for the Rhine River, Rhenus.
Rhenium was discovered by a German research team that included Walter Noddack (1893-1960), Ida Tacke (1896-1979) and Otto Berg and is one of the rarest elements in the world.
