At moment just before the release, Net force in horizontal direction will be, 

= Tension in elastic band *cos(45 degree) 

Now initial acceleration = horizontal force/mass [since motion is restricted in y direction]

= 6.4 cos(45 degrees) /( 0.1)

=45.25 m/s^2

Answer choice is incorrect... i have checked it from other sources as well....But at the same time if angle is 35 degrees then you will have 54 m/s^2 as answer.
