CAUSES AND IMPACTS OF CHILDHOOD OBESITY
Introduction
The two research topics I am interested in vary completely. They are in the field of
psychiatry and behavioral science, and food and eating disorders. These two include the anxiety
disorder and childhood obesity respectively. Anxiety disorders are a group of mental illnesses
that cause distress and keep their victims from carrying on with their lives normally ( The
National Institute of Mental Health 42). It often gets disabling for people who struggle with

anxiety disorders are such as irritability, sweating, headaches, loss of sleep, nausea, and the
shortage of breath (Abbyl). It is however manageable with relevant treatment.
My preferred research topic was on childhood obesity as I was more interested in finding
out its cause and prevention strategies.
