Description
Analyzing & Visualizing Data – Week8
Discussion:
When thinking about data visualization, it is important to understand regular expressions in data analytics. Therefore, note the importance of data visualizations and choose two types of expressions (* - wildcards for example) and discuss the difference between the two types of expressions.
Instructions: Your response to the initial question should be 250-300 words. Next respond to two postings provided by your classmates. There must be at least one APA formatted reference (and APA in-text citation) to support the thoughts in the post as needed. Do not use direct quotes, rather rephrase the author's words and continue to use in-text citations.
Please ensure the initial post and two response posts are substantive, not the same for both classmates, and have enough details to show us that you read the posting and have original feedback to offer. Substantive posts will do at least TWO of the following: Ask an interesting, thoughtful question pertaining to the topic Expand on the topic, by adding additional thoughtful information Answer the question posted by another student in detail, and I say again (IN DETAIL). A simple two-line response will not earn you credit for your reply, and I will deduct points accordingly.
Should return Main Discussion Content in 15hrs.
once I receive the main discussion content then I will post the peer discussion in chat
peer response should be returned in next 10hrs
MidTerm:
Review the attached file. Suzie has an issue. She can either move to NY or FL and needs to review some data that her agent gave her. The agent reviewed house prices and crime ratings for houses that Suzie would be interested in based on her selection criteria. She wants to live in an area with lower crime but wants to know a few things:
Is it more expensive or less expensive to live in FL or NY?
- Is the crime rate higher in FL or NY (Note a low score in crime means lower crime)?
Is the crime rate higher in lower or higher house price areas?
- Using the R tool, show the data in the tool to answer each of the questions. Also, show the data visualization to go along with the summary.
If you were Suzie, where would you move based on the questions above?
- After you gave Suzie the answer above (to #4), she gave you some additional information that you need to consider:
She has $100,000 to put down for the house.
If she moves to NY she will have a job earning $120,000 per year.
If she moves to FL she will have a job earning $75,000 per year.
She wants to know the following:
On average what location will she be able to pay off her house first based on average housing prices and income she will receive?
Where should she move and why? Please show graphics and thoroughly explain your answer here based on the new information provided above.

Week 8 Discussion
The process of putting data into a visual format, such as a graph or map, in order to
make it simpler to comprehend and draw conclusions from the data is referred to as data
visualization. The primary objective of data visualization is to simplify the process of
identifying patterns, trends, and outliers hidden within massive amounts of data. Data
visualization helps comprehension by delivering data in a visual way. This makes it simpler
for the brain to understand data in its natural form, which in turn makes it simpler to
recognize patterns in large data sets (Waskom, 2021).The ability to display enormous
amounts of data in a manner that is both understandable and logical, as is the case with
graphical representations, makes it simpler for us to comprehend the data, draw conclusions,
and create new discoveries. That way, we won't have to waste time trying to solve the
difficulties.
There are two different sorts of expressions, which are character expressions and
arithmetic expressions. The result of evaluating an arithmetic expression is a single number
that corresponds to the expression. A single, one-of-a-kind instance of a character type is
generated whenever a character expression is used. An expression is a formula in
mathematics that produces a number as its final product (Po, Et al, 2021). The two most
common varieties of numbers are floating point values and integers, which are also
sometimes referred to as "whole numbers." An expression that allows you to type in
characters is referred to as a character expression. It returns a character that is at least one
character in length.
