Hey, my name is Alexis i am a college student, majoring in Human Services. I have a question. I'm doing a paper on why people are homeless and I have to address the issue of a macro-level change that would make human services for this vulnerable segment of our population more just or ethical. can you explain or simplify the Macro level so that is more understanding in regards to homeless peopel?

A macro-level change is a large scale change. That means it would have to be a change on the national level, not just locally in certain neighborhoods and cities. It would mean laws being passed in congress and signed into law by the president that would effect the homeless population in a big way. It would be a national drive to bring the issue of homelessness to the attention of the American people so that there is enough interest to apply pressure on the politicians to do something meaningful and long lasting.

The assignment is explain why people are poor, and propose a macro-level change that would make human services for this vulnerable segment of our population more just or ethical. So, a possible proposed plan would be having short term places for people in these situations to stay, while having safety, untill they can find a more permant living accomidation?

Yes, those places already exist. They are called Homeless Shelters.

No, not a homeless shelter but a apartment style complex with cheap to minimum rent for those who were evicted who can afford it but also saving to move out in a more permanent place. similar to a homeless shelter but at those you cant house or store all of your things. this will be a way for people who are on the verge of becoming homeless.
